New Patients

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes. We welcome new patients of all ages — from toddlers having their first dental visit to adults and seniors. Call (801) 491-6844 or fill out our contact form and we’ll get you on the schedule.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first visit usually includes a comprehensive exam, digital X-rays, an oral cancer screening, and a professional cleaning. The doctor will review your dental history with you, examine your teeth and gums, and discuss any treatment recommendations. Plan on about an hour.

Which dentist will I see?

That depends on your case and preferences. Dr. Ben Griffiths, DDS handles general, family, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Dallin Thueson, DDS handles the same plus specialized care in dental sleep medicine, periodontics, TMJ, and clear aligners (CandidPro and Invisalign). When you call to book, let us know what you’re coming in for and we’ll match you with the right provider.

Insurance & Payment

Do you take my insurance?

We accept most major dental insurance plans. Rather than guess, call us at (801) 491-6844 with your insurance information and we’ll verify your coverage and out-of-pocket costs before your visit — no surprises.

What if I don’t have insurance?

We work with patients without insurance every day. We offer transparent pricing, flexible payment options, and 0% interest financing through CareCredit. We can also discuss in-house payment plans for larger treatments at your visit.

How much does a cleaning and exam cost?

Costs vary by case, insurance coverage, and what’s needed (regular cleaning vs. deep cleaning, X-rays included, etc.). At your first visit we’ll provide a clear estimate. With most dental insurance plans, preventive visits (exam + cleaning + X-rays) are covered at 100%.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. CareCredit offers 0% interest financing for qualified patients on treatments above a certain amount. We can also set up in-house payment plans for specific procedures. Ask at your visit and we’ll walk you through your options.

What services do you offer?

Do you treat children?

Yes. We see children from their first dental visit (around age 1) through their teen years. For complex pediatric specialty cases, we’ll refer to a pediatric dentist if appropriate.

Do you do emergency dental care?

Yes. For tooth pain, knocked-out teeth, lost fillings or crowns, swelling, or other dental emergencies, call (801) 491-6844 as early in the day as possible. We make every effort to see emergency patients the same day — including patients new to the practice.

Do you offer clear aligners?

Yes — we offer both CandidPro (more affordable, mild-to-moderate cases) and Invisalign (premium brand, all case complexities). Dr. Dallin Thueson will scan your teeth and recommend the best fit for your case. Compare them side-by-side here.

Do you treat sleep apnea?

Yes. Dental Sleep Medicine is one of Dr. Dallin Thueson’s specialty areas. We fit custom oral appliances for obstructive sleep apnea and snoring, working alongside your physician. Many patients find an oral appliance easier to tolerate than CPAP.

What are your office hours?

Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

Is parking available?

Yes — free parking right out front of the office.
