Why it matters

Good visits now make easier visits later

Kids who feel calm at the dentist are more likely to keep coming back. Regular checkups also let us spot small problems, like early cavities, before they turn into toothaches.

We keep visits simple, explain things in words kids understand, and let them set the pace.

How insurance works here

Questions parents ask

When should my child first see a dentist?

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first dental visit by a child’s first birthday. Call us and we’ll talk through what makes sense for your child.

Are your dentists pediatric specialists?

No. Dr. Griffiths and Dr. Thueson are general dentists who care for patients of all ages, including kids. If your child ever needs a specialist, we’ll explain why and help with the referral.

Can I stay with my child during the visit?

Ask us when you book and we’ll plan the visit together. Many parents like to stay close, especially for a first visit.

Can our family come in on the same day?

Ask when you call. We’ll do our best to schedule family members close together so you make fewer trips.

What if my child has a toothache or knocks out a tooth?

Call (801) 491-6844 right away during office hours. If a permanent tooth is knocked out, keep it moist and call us immediately. For a high fever, spreading swelling, or trouble breathing, go to the emergency room.
